I was actually talking about RavagerOfDreams, rather than you. I actually think you're right. I'm also talking only from a PvE perspective, since this is mostly a PvE thread (tanks, critical agility, etc.).

I never said that tanks had a place in GW. I think that tanks are a bad idea, and that there's very little point in them in the current GW, even PvE. I just stated their purpose. For instance, SP's purpose is to spike a target in, what, 4 seconds? But is it good for the game? No. Should it be in the game? No. Hell, should the assassin class even be in the game? IMO, no. But they're there anyway, whether we like it or not. And I'm starting to get off topic, so I'll end here.

Quoted for epic truth
and @Jaigoda
yes good tanks don't overextend however how many good tanks are there in gw? Not only that but sins cannot out tank wars it simply cannot be done. We may have critical agility however they have stances which are much harder to remove the enchants. Also wars have a higher al AND al raising skills(i.e. Doylak Sig). So in the world of tanking sin<war it's very simple and arguing with the fact will prove to me that your just trolling.

Thanks guys, highly appreciated it.Thanks dove and ravager for those great tips.
Well I finally beat nf on my D/mo, and decided to transfer my Sin to nf and try to get to Remains so I can farm there.
I also have a build setup for uw,but I am not sure if it will work yet.I will get a good pve build like the ones listed here to get through the game.I found factions somewhat frustrating at times, thus the switch to nf...but I know I will go back to factions later and beat it.Thanks again.

Rawr.
@The OP:
Moebius Strike is quite far away, but Assassin's Promise is an alright elite for using spike builds in PvE!

meh there is another build that people use that always hits the boss also make sure you are right next to the boss. My suggestion is to teleport in then shock him down. However if you use the other build you won't have to
see here
http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:A/...Academy_Farmer
only problem you'll find is bodyblocking sometimes

Thanks but, first problem is..one of the skills is EOTN which I do not have...bigger problem is,that I'd have to resign alot to kill the bosses...which does not appeal to me,considering my luck I wouldn't get the bosses I'd need frequently enough.

it happens sometimes that it doesn't target the right person but if you shadowstep directly to your boss then shock him down it should allow silver armor to trigger

i personally don't like the farm as the raptor farm is much more efficient in the way that it's faster and you get asuran points for it but since you don't have eotn it might be worth it

Okay thanks, planning on getting to it.Just tried uw farm...well I had quite a few problems.Went with someone who didnt do much but paid for it So at first I had energy managment issues, which I dealt with by using this 2handed staff, giving me 10energy,20%longer enchants. When everything went well,I made a mistake of not putting up shadow form, till it was too late..3rd time it went worse since a nightmare popped up and took my enchants off right away.
So my Real question is,a specific way to get good with my sin?Like doing pvp or some type of practice farm.I would really love being able to use the sin to its full potentional, since I hear so many great things about it.

way to get good would be to use the builds in pve and just play the story line. Way to get good at farming would be to practice on the dummies outside of GTB
and activate shadow form before you aggro it lasts long enough for the kill and the nightmares can't rip it once up

So I am too a new assassin, i just created mine last tuesday i think. I kind of put this together from different posts i saw but let me know if any good pls.
15 crit
13 dagger
rest shadow
Jagged Strike
Wild Strike
Death Blossom
Moebius Strike
Critical Eye
Death's Charge
Return?
Critical Defense
So i just got through the JS, WS, DB line first, then i use MS, and then i simple toggle back and forth between MS and DB continuosly until my target is dead. Dont realy run into energy issues, theyr all low energy cost abilities. The other stuff is to not die.
Any suggestions would be awesome.
Side note i dont have Nightfall or EotN. I played a war when this game came out and was gone until last week when i picked up factions.

An easy way to practice farming is right outside of The Marketplace in Wajjun Bazaar. The first 6 Jade Brotherhood Knights that spawn don't use anything tricky or any self-heals, so they're ideal for testing all sorts of things.
As far as getting better, I suggest RA, but ONLY if you're willing to realize your build-making errors and try your best to amend them. In RA, you're going to basically come up against all variables and different styles of killing/pressure/shutdown, so it will help you develop a well-rounded build. But don't try a farming build in PvP.
